What Advocacy Looks Like
With Us

It depends on where you are and what you need. It may look like:

Advocacy. Education. Guidance. Everything You Need to Get What
Your Family Deserves

Most families are not getting everything they’re entitled to. They’re in programs but missing hours. They’ve been denied and don’t know they can fight back. They’re navigating systems alone that were designed to be complicated. That’s where we come in.

We examine your situation individually, identify what you’re missing, and give you the tools, knowledge, and support to get it.

The X's and O's of Caregiving

Regional Center Support & Navigation

If your loved one is in the Regional Center  or you believe they should be we help you understand the full scope of what’s available and make sure you’re getting it.
This Includes:

IPP meeting preparation and support — we can attend your IPP meeting with you for a fee
Identifying services families are never told about — Personal Assistance hours, Respite Services, Independent Living Services, Supported Living Services, SSP Restoration Check (Service Code 065), and more
Preparing you to communicate effectively with your service coordinator
Helping you understand what to ask for and how to ask for it
Reviewing your current IPP and identifying what's missing

Not in a Regional Center but have a diagnosis of Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, or other related neurological conditions? You may qualify. We can point you in the right direction to get evaluated.

IHSS Assessment & Reassessment Preparation

Whether you’re applying for the first time or facing a reassessment visit, we prepare you to walk in ready. We help you document the daily reality of care — safety risks, behavioral needs, medical complexity — in a way that the social worker understands and can act on.

If your loved one is in Regional Center and IHSS, they should likely be qualifying for maximum hours through Protective Supervision. If they have serious medical needs on top of that, Paramedical hours may also be available.

Appeal Support

Been denied? Hours reduced? We help you understand your options and prepare to fight back  whether that’s an IHSS appeal, a Regional Center service denial, or an insurance appeal.

Benefit Identification

This is one of the most valuable things we do. We look at your full situation — every program you’re on, every program you might qualify for — and identify what you’re missing. Housing assistance, meals, home furnishings, respite care, additional Personal Assistant or Homemaker hours — most families don’t know the full scope of what’s available to them. We do.

Share of Cost Examination

If you have a Medi-Cal Share of Cost, we help you understand what it is and look into programs and strategies that may help reduce or offset it.

VA Homecare Navigation

We help veterans and their spouses identify and access VA homecare programs including Home Based Primary Care, Veteran Directed Care, Aid & Attendance, PCAFC, PGCSS, and CHAMPVA.

Coming Soon — Sliding Scale Services

We are currently working toward Medi-Cal credentialing which will allow us to offer advocacy services on a sliding scale fee to qualifying families. We believe every family deserves access to advocacy support regardless of their ability to pay. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when sliding scale services become available.
